Accommodation in Damascus

As a student travelling with AMBergh you have the opportunity to choose what type of accommodation you would like us to organize for you. Accommodation is generally reserved from Saturday prior to the start of your course until Friday following the end of the course. Extra nights before and after the course can be arranged at an extra fee. If you book accommodation through us you can be picked up at the airport or railway station. You will find a person waiting for you, holding a sign with your name on it.

Family
Staying with a family gives you an opportunity to practice your Arabic in a relaxed atmosphere and to get a sense of Arabic family life. All families offering accommodation to students have been visited and approved before hand. Family accommodation is available in the heart of old town Damascus, in an historical and beautiful location. The families live in calm neighbourhoods. You can find plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Houses are old and charming and the standard is basic. Some rooms have their own bathroom facilities and kitchens, others have access to shared bathrooms and kitchens. Meals can be arranged with the family.

Apartment
We offer, through our placement service, nice apartments in different areas of Damascus. Apartments of different standards and prices are available. We search the most suitable apartment, according to your request, and make the booking upon your agreement.

Hotel
Simple and clean hotels and hostels are available in popular areas of modern down-town Damascus. We offer, through our placement service, single or double rooms with breakfast included, or hostel rooms that can be shared with other foreigners. Given that the accommodation is centrally located there is no problem finding cafés and restaurants to eat at. The prices per night at the hotels/hostels range from around $25-65 for a single room, and $35-75 for a double including breakfast.
