Besides weekly cultural activities, such as lectures, calligraphy workshops, music performances, henna ceremonies and Moroccan cooking sessions, we warmly recommend you to join the excursions arranged by the Language Institute.

Two excursions in Meknes are included in your Arabic language programmememe. Meknes is one of the most historic and important cities in Morocco. It is a traditional walled medieval city, one of the four ancient imperial cities. It is also a thriving metropolis with a modern city centre. The excursions provide opportunities to gain insights into the culture and history of Meknes, while expanding your Arabic vocabulary.

You can also join daytrips to Fez and Volubilis, which are arranged on a regular basis. Volubilis, an important outpost of the Roman Empire in the 3rd century B.C., is a well preserved example of Roman Africa. Fez is one of the four so-called 'imperial cities' (next to Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat). The labyrinth streets inside Fez's city walls are a show that never ends and the markets are overwhelming. Fez's old medina and Volubilis both belong to UNESCO's World Heritage Sites, and offer unforgettable experiences.
