Accommodation in Beirut
As a student travelling with AMBergh you have the opportunity to choose what type of accommodation you would like us to organize for you. If you book accommodation through us you can be picked up at Beirut airport upon your arrival. You will find a person waiting for you, holding a sign with your name on it.
Placement service
If you want us to arrange accommodation for you in a student room, furnished apartment, at a convent, or at a hotel in Beirut, please apply to our placement service. For a service charge, we search for a suitable accommodation for you, present you with (maximum) three alternatives, and do the booking upon your agreement. Our placement service includes transfer from the airport upon your arrival in Beirut, but not the cost of rent. The price for accommodation in Beirut depends on standard, location, size, and season. We strive to provide our students with a budget range. The rent is usually paid by you directly to the landlord upon your arrival. Sometimes a deposit is required.
Student room
Student rooms for women are available in the same building as the Language Institute in Hamra, in the heart of modern down-town Beirut. Each room has two beds, cupboard, desk and chair. Rooms can be shared by two women. You will have access to shared bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, TV, Internet connection, and a 24 hour doorman. The dormitory is kept neat and clean. Students can relax in a common living room, overlooking the skyline of Beirut. Sheets are provided. You need to bring your own towels.
Student rooms for men and women can also be made available in external student residences located in the areas of Hamra and Achrafieh in Beirut. Single and shared rooms can be offered. When you apply to our placement service you will receive more details about available student rooms.
Apartment
Accommodation in furnished apartments in down-town Beirut and nearby neighborhoods is available. Apartments are generally well maintained and equipped, and usually accommodate one to two persons. Larger apartments are also available. For one person, we recommend a studio apartment in Hamra, the centre of Beirut. If you want to cut the cost, you may also consider a studio apartment in the area of Furn Ash-Shubbak, at an easy distance to the centre by public transport.
Convent lodging
Convent lodging can be arranged in areas close to down-town Hamra. Single, double, and triple rooms are available. The convents provide basic standard and are kept neat and clean. Convent lodging for women usually entails a curfew.
Hotel
Hotels at different price ranges are available in down-town Beirut. We offer single or double rooms with breakfast included. The accommodation is centrally located and there is no problem finding cafés and restaurants to eat at.
