Accommodation in Cairo

When booking a course through AMBergh Education you can choose from a variety of accommodation options. Accommodation is generally reserved from Saturday prior to the start of your course until Friday following the end of your course. Extra nights before and after the course can be arranged at an extra fee. If you book accommodation through us you can be picked up at the airport or railway station. You will find a person waiting for you, holding a sign with your name on it.

Student rooms in shared apartments
Student rooms are available in the Doqqi and Muhandiseen areas. You will stay in a single room and share bathroom, kitchen, and the living area with other students. You may also share room with another student.

One student residence is located in the Doqqi area of Cairo, between downtown and the Pyramids. Doqqi is a middle-class area, home to a host of restaurants offering various cuisines, as well as cafés and cinemas, markets and shopping. Living in Doqqi will provide you with a true experience of the diversity of Cairo. The residence is a 5 minute walk from the Doqqi metro station. The residence has three-bedrooms, each with two beds, a modern kitchen, a large bathroom, and a spacious living area with satellite TV.

Another residence is located in the Mohandiseen district of Cairo. A bit quieter than Doqqi, and certainly more so than downtown, Mohandiseen is an upper-scale neighbourhood, home to western-style cafes, such as Costa Coffee, Starbucks and Cilantro as well as restaurants such as Mori Sushi and Chilis.

Visitors and alcohol are not allowed in the residences. Students are required to keep facilities neat and clean. There is no Internet access in the residences. If you want 24 hours access, you can rent a Vodafone internet device for a monthly fee.

Hostel
We can provide you with accommodation at a nice and friendly hostel in down-town Cairo, at a 10 minute walking distance from the Language Institute in Tahrir square. You will be provided with a single room with AC and bathroom. Sheets and towels are provided. There is a TV in your room. House-keeping and breakfast are included. The hostel has a nice roof top café where you can enjoy your breakfast, tea and soft drinks.

The location of the hostel is close to the Metro Station Nasser. It is a 10-15 taxi ride to Ramses station and a 10 minute walk to Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum. There are plenty of shops, cafés, restaurants, travel agencies etc. in the area. The hostel staff is friendly and the atmosphere familiar.

Hotel
