Besides weekly cultural activities, such as special lectures, calligraphy workshops, music performances, visits to the Library, we warmly recommend you to join the excursions arranged by the Language Institute. You will get an insight in the culture and history of Alexandria and Egypt, while gaining valuable Arabic vocabulary.

Local excursions in Alexandria include visits to the National Museum, the Citadel, the Roman theatre, and Al Montazah (a favored spot in Alexandria by tourists and locals alike, on account of its sizable gardens and palaces left by its royal heritage).

You can also join excursions to Cairo, visiting such world heritage sites as the Pyramids, the Egyptian museum, the Citadel of Sala Al-Din, Kerdasa, Pharaonic castle, and enjoying a cruise on the Nile.

Luxor and Aswan, Sinai, Siwa Oasis, Al-Ghardaqah are popular destinations for students wanting to explore more of Egypt.
